Empowering Young Minds in Mwabungo and Galu, Kenya

On 15/07/2024, our team at Wastefree23 visited Mwabungo Primary School and Galu Primary School in Kenya for an unforgettable event! We engaged with over 100 students, teachers promoting environmental sustainability and education.

Learning and Participation:

– Interactive workshops: Students learned about plastic waste management, recycling, and the impact of human actions on the environment.
– Engaging games and quizzes: Participants tested their knowledge and won exciting prizes!
– Creative expression: Students showcased their artistic talents, creating posters and drawings promoting environmental conservation.

Writing Materials and Prizes:

– We distributed brand new pencils, pens, and notebooks to all participants, encouraging them to continue learning and creating.
– Top performers in the quizzes and games received special prizes, including colorful stationery sets and eco-friendly bags.

The Impact:

Together, we collected a significant amount of plastic waste, which will be recycled and turned into new products. This event not only cleaned up the schools and surrounding areas but also inspired young minds to become eco-leaders!

Get Involved:

Join us in making a difference! We encourage individuals and organizations to sponsor subsequent events in the area and support our dream of establishing a micro-recycling center in the community. Together, let’s create a more sustainable future for generations to come! 🌱

Thank You:

We appreciate your support and look forward to continued collaboration to protect the environment and empower the next generation of eco-leaders!
